It’s only been 3 days since our arrival in New Delhi, but San Francisco and our busy lives already seem like a distant memory.

We arrived at 9:30 in the morning after 28 hours of air travel, and were picked up at Delhi airport by our good friend Anuj’s mother Usha and her brother in law Noshin.

While we caught up with Usha and  became acquainted with Noshi, we were also immediately introduced to the Indian roads and their unique style of driving…like the fact that there are no lanes, no rules, and about 15 million more people on them than they were made for.

We rested at Usha and Eskay’s house for our first day in Delhi. It helps so much when you are just starting traveling to have a safe and comfortable place to start from.  Thanks to them, we are well fed and feel grounded for our journey.

After seeing some of the sights in Delhi yesterday, we put the bikes together, packed up, and said goodbye to our cozy, temporary New Delhi home.

We hopped on a train to Agra, and tomorrow we see the Taj Mahal and start our big adventure on little bikes!
